There are many things that influence both teachers and students when it comes to using technology in the classroom. for the teachers, we can say that it is definitely more practical, seeing as how they don't have to do a lot of paper work for things like lesson plans, attendance, or in class activities, all can be done online. for students, the major influence on this is the fact that students are growing up in an era where technology is becoming a very crucial part of their lives. therefore students have to be taught to use technology in the classroom so they can adapt better to this technological era.

one standard for the ISTE which i believe to be very meaningful is the global collaborator. This standard in particular is very important because it does not only show the value of technology especially for social networking, but it also shows how meeting and working with new people can actually shed some light into your world view and expand it. The computational thinker standard on the other hand is far more out of my current skill set because even though i use technology daily, a don't see it as a source for creating solutions, especially if we are talking about my personal life.

I do agree on this label of digital native seen as how this refers to people who were practically born with technology and cant remember a time without it. Even so i do believe that with in this label there are many different levels. Because even though i was born with technology i am not one of those babies from today's age who gets to have his own ipad for example. Some differences have been evident when i see my teachers use technology, versus how i use it. one man difference is that teachers work on a slower pace than students especially when using a computer. Another difference is that teachers have a harder time locating certain buttons for certain functions than students, a final difference is that some adults don't know how to use certain programs to their full potential. By definition, these differences make the learning slower from the students point of view especially when these types of things occur in a lecture. With my future students i anticipate having the same issues but with more advanced equipment. an example of this would be if we come to a point in time where we operate on holograms. If this where the case i am pretty sure i would be very slow at using it it and very disoriented in comparison to my students who might have been using it for a longer period of time
